Non-governmental organization (NGO), Tunisia.

Created in 2011 by a group of young activists, Damj, the Tunisian Association for Justice and Equality, is an organization that aims to defend and promote the human rights of LGBTQIA+ people in Tunisia.


The individual thrives and realizes their self-worth more harmoniously within a community of diverse, just and equal individuals – a society where all peoples can safely enjoy their rights and freedoms.


The Tunisian Association for Justice and Equality works to integrate and defend minorities and marginalized groups, including the queer community, by celebrating the individual and strengthening their capabilities to enhance their integration into society.

The Association Values are: inclusiveness, respect, solidarity, confidentiality, commitment and integrity.

Goals / objectives

Strategic objective 1:

Enhancing individual capabilities.

  • Awareness / training and capacity building for members.

Developing a society based on diversity and coexistence.

Consolidating the principles of citizenship and equality among citizens.
